Mediation
Mediation is a process that helps to alleviate grievances and conflicts with the help of an outside party through unbiased listening and understanding. Mediation in instances of youth criminality is intended to be a learning exprience, taking into account rehabilitation, restorative justice and understanding responsibility.
Mediation is a voluntary, impartial and a confidential process that requires the consent of all attending parties. If any of the participating parties are under 18, the consent of their parents of guardians is also needed. Consent is validated once the mediators recieve the request for mediation.
