You Haven’t Been Alone Since 2018

You Are Not Alone started as a collaborative venture between the Family Federation of Finland (Väestöliitto RY) and Finnish sporting actors in 2018, and has since expanded to provide support and services to other hobbies in 2025. Our service aims to prevent and reduce harassment, discrimination, bullying and violence especially in children’s hobbies and sports.

You Are Not Alone service was funded by Funding Centre for Social Welfare and Health Organisations (STEA) between 2018 and 2021. Since 2022 our funding has been provided by the Ministry of Eductaion And Culture (OKM). You Are Not Alone – service was developed in collaboration with seven sporting federation and the Finnish Olympic Committee. The collaborating federations and associations are: Finnish Ice Hockey Association, Football Association of Finland, Acquatics Finland, Basketball Finland, Finnish Gymnastic Federation and Volleyball Finland (Lentopalloliitto). We work in close collaboration with the Finnish Center for Integrity in Sports FINCIS, Finnish Coaches Association and other federations and associations. The president of Finland, Sauli Niinistö acted as the patron of the service between 2018 and 2024. In 2025 our service expanded to cover all youth hobbies in addition to sports, to better work toward a future where everyone would be able to experience the joy of hobbies safely, withou the fear of discrimination, harassment, violence, bullying and inappropriate behaviour.

Family Federation of Finland provides the service and is responsible for the website..
