In challenging situations, it’s advisable that you should try to reach out to your coach, instructor, youth worker, parent or other trusted adult.
However, we understand that sometimes that option isn’t realistic or possible. When situations like this arise, we are there for you. Our services are confidential.

Our services are available to anyone who feels worried about any situation relating to sports and hobbies. Parents, judges, coaches, volunteers, youth workers and councilors are welcome to our services. We offer consultations, discussion support and materials free of charge.

Who can contact you?
Our services are available to any person involved in organized hobby activities or sports. This can include, but is not limited to people involved in scouting, church youth groups, youth work, prometheus-camps and more. Our services do not have an age limit, and we provide assistance to coaches, organization staff, judges, volunteers, youth workers and ministers, harassment contact liaisons, parents and guardians, friends. We are here for you.
When should I get in contact?
We feel it is important that you can contact us at any point, if you have experienced inappropriate treatment. If possible, you should first contact the organization responsible for the activity, but we are aware that sometimes this is not possible. You can also contact us for a consultation on how to proceed in situations regarding discrimination, abuse, violence, bullying and other inappropriate behaviour. We would be glad to assist you.
Are you worried for someone else?
If you are worried about someone close to you, someone in the same activity group or have wittnessed inappropariate behaviour, you are welcome to contact us. Being aware of situations where others have been mistreated can feel overwhelming. Sharing and talking through the experience can help, and we would be glad to help.
What if I acted improperly?
If you feel you have mistreated someone or crossed their boundaries, you can contact us. Recognizing how our actions affect others is a crucial step in trying to change our behaviour. We would gladly offer support and in such instances.
Our Principles
We uphold the principles for a safer space created by our parent organization, Family Federation of Finland. The principles apply equally to our staff and those contacting us. All contacts and discussions are confidential and our staff are mandated to uphold professional secrecy. We are however mandated by law to inform child welfare services and police if we are informed of situations where the well-being of a minor is being endangered or we are informed of a preventable crime affecting the health and well-being of others.
